My name’s Erika, I’m an aesthetic nurse prescriber, and my career in aesthetics started here at Facial Aesthetic Courses four years ago. In March 2022, I came for the level one foundation Botox and dermal filler course, and very slowly built my confidence and my experience with the skills that I learned.
Shortly after that, I returned for all the level two masterclasses so that I could treat my patients a little bit more holistically and just advance and expand my business and my career.
From my own experience at Facial Aesthetic Courses, they really offer good support and networking opportunities to really support growth. Due to this, my clinic began to expand and thrive, and I was working more hours in my clinic alongside my full-time NHS job.
Shortly after that, I was approached to join the team as their first nurse lecturer. It’s been a privilege to not only learn here at Facial Aesthetic Courses, but to be able to now teach and support other nurses and medical professionals through the exact same journey that I’ve taken.
In 2025, I was awarded Aesthetics Nurse of the Year at the Scottish Aesthetic Awards. Following that, I went on to leave my NHS job just three years on from starting my training here at Facial Aesthetic Courses. Now, I work full-time across two clinics in Glasgow. So, if you’re looking to start your aesthetics career, please feel free to reach out today.

Find practical information about preparation, teaching and support.
Can I start with no previous aesthetics training?
FAC offers foundation courses for eligible registered healthcare professionals who are new to facial aesthetics. Check the individual course requirements and complete the required preparation before attending.
How does online learning fit with a practical course?
Your hands-on course includes corresponding pre-course e-learning to prepare you for the practical day. Complete it before attendance and revisit it afterwards for revision. This is distinct from purchasing a standalone online course.
Do the hands-on courses include live models?
Yes. FAC’s hands-on courses include supervised practical training with live models. Check each course page for its content and format. Standalone online learning does not include an in-person practical session.
Who will teach my course?
Our teaching team includes doctors, dentists and an Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber. Course pages introduce the relevant trainers; contact FAC if you need to confirm the teaching arrangements for a particular date.
What support is available after training?
You can revisit your course e-learning and access FAC’s Facial Aesthetics Forum. In-clinic mentoring is available separately for further supervised development. Speak to FAC about the support included with your chosen course.
