Erika’s story: from NHS nurse to clinic owner

Erika began training with FAC in March 2022. After building her aesthetics practice alongside her NHS role, she left the NHS in 2025, three years after starting her training.

FAC accepts doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, operating department practitioners (ODPs), independent prescribing pharmacists, dental hygienists and dental therapists with current, unrestricted registration with their appropriate professional regulator.

A few practical questions

How do I choose between foundation and advanced training?

Foundation courses introduce core assessment, anatomy, safety and practical techniques. Masterclasses develop specific treatment skills. Use the course information and our team’s advice to match the next step to your existing training and experience.

What are the requirements for specialist courses?

Skin Regeneration is for regulated healthcare professionals who have completed foundation toxin and filler training, or equivalent skin injectable training. Therapeutic Toxin has specific professional and clinical requirements; check its full course page and contact FAC to confirm suitability before booking.

What is included before and after the practical course?

Corresponding e-learning helps you prepare before attending and remains available for revision afterwards. FAC also offers ongoing support through its Facial Aesthetics Forum, with separate mentoring options for further development.

The Toxin Training Day-- Absolutely surpassed my expectations, I really enjoyed it! The groups were a nice size and lovely delegates. My trainer was Meghan for the toxin day, and she was really helpful, friendly and definitely approachable. Dermal Filler Day-- This is what I felt more nervous about, but Sbah being my trainer, really made me feel reassured and confident.
